Trade expert’s advice to the government:India should make rapid efforts to enter into free trade agreements with EU and UK

After the agreement between the European Union (EU) and the UK (UK) after the exit, India should now increasingly strive for a separate free trade agreement (FTA) with the two regions. Experts believe this. He said that nothing can be said about the exact benefit that India can get from the UK and EU agreement, but Indian goods are not seeing much benefit from the agreement between the two sides.

Experts said that as the service sector does not come under the purview of the EU-UK agreement, India could explore opportunities in service sectors such as IT, architecture, research and development and engineering in both sectors. Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) Director General Ajay Sahai said that Indian commodities would not benefit much, but we could benefit in services sectors in both the UK and EU markets
