The School Education Department has decided to conduct the HSC (e. 12th) board examination between 23 April to 29 May 2021. The results of this test will be announced in the last week of July 2021. Varsha Gaikwad also clarified that the safety of students and staff will be taken care of in the backdrop of Corona.

The dates for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examination were announced by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on 31 December. Accordingly, the 10th and 12th CBSE practical exams will start from March 1 and written exams will start from May 4, 2021 and continue till June 10. After the examination, the results will be declared by 15 July.

Henceforth, the students were focused on when the state secondary and higher secondary board examinations would be held. Announcing the exam dates, Varsha Gaikwad has also assured that the results of class XII will be released before the end of July and the results of class X will be released before the end of August.

Presently, classes from ninth to twelfth have been started in most parts of the state except Mumbai and Thane. The Department of School Education has directed schools to be started from fifth to eighth grade, keeping in mind the situation of corona outbreak and discussing it with the Department of Public Health. Most of the students in class X-XII are preparing for the exam with a focus on online study.
