Effects of Diwali Durga Puja and elections on Covid 19 cases may be visible soon says government – Corona case to be rising again? Ministry of Health said

In the coming days, corona cases may once again see a boom. The government has said that the impact of elections, Durga Puja, Diwali can be seen in the coming weeks, we have to monitor new cases very carefully. Apart from the assembly elections in Bihar, there are fears about by-elections and festivals in 11 states that the country may once again see a surge in corona cases.

The number of new cases of corona virus infection in India in the country fell below 30,000 after four months and with this the total number of infections in India increased to 88.74 lakh. Earlier, the number of new cases reported in a single day of infection was below 30,000 on July 15.

The Ministry of Health said on Monday that more than 12.65 crore samples have been tested for Kovid-19 in the country so far, the rate of infection has come down to 7.01 percent. India is also among the countries with the lowest death rate in the world in cases of death per million population due to infection, which is 94 per million in India.
Of the total under-treatment of Kovid-19 in the country, 76.6 per cent are in ten states and union territories including Maharashtra, Delhi, Kerala and West Bengal.

VK Paul of NITI Aayog said that the capacity of ICU beds in Delhi hospitals will be increased from the current 3,523 to 6,000 in the next three-four days. In view of the increasing cases of Kovid-19 in Delhi, steps to be taken include increasing the number of beds, doubling the test capacity and keeping the correct ratio of RT-PCR and RAT tests.
