Chhath Puja Recipe 2020: Chhath on the birthday of Kartik month (Chhath) is celebrated. This time the Maha Parva of Chhath will be celebrated from 18 November to 21 November. The offerings of Thekua are considered very important in Chhath Puja. This Prasad is specially prepared keeping in mind certain rules on the occasion of Chhath Puja. So let us tell you how to make crispy thekua in the offerings of worship.
-250g wheat flour
-1 tbsp ghee (for moyan)
-30g dried coconut powder
-125 gm jaggery
Half spoon cardamom powder
-Oil to grease
-A fist finely chopped nuts
Method of preparation of Thekua –
To make a thekua, first boil half a cup of water in a vessel and break the jaggery in it. Stir continuously until the jaggery is completely melted. After this, filter the water with a sieve and cool it. Sieve the flour in a bowl and mix coconut boora, chopped nuts and ground cardamom in it.
Now with the help of jaggery water, make a stiff dough. After this, heat the oil in a pan by making flour dough. Roll out the dough balls in the desired shape and fry them on low heat after adding them in hot oil. Your hot and hot Thekua is ready. The thekua can also be stored in an airtight container.
