Indian boxers Amit Panghal and Sanjeet, who returned to the ring after the Corona period, performed brilliantly to clinch the gold medal in the Alexis Vestine International boxing tournament played in France. Kavinder Bisht (57 kg) had to be content with the silver medal in the tournament after losing 2–1 against Joe Samuel in the final match.

India has already won three bronze medals in the tournament. Four-time Asian medalists Shiva Thapa (63 kg), Sumit Sangwan (81 kg), and Satish Kumar (91 kg) were defeated in the semi-finals. The Boxers of India have played this first tournament since the Olympic qualifiers held in Jordan in March. 9 boxers have qualified for India for the Olympics in Tokyo, which consists of five men and four women.
